The medicine is indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in adult patients after an Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) with elevated cardic biomarkers (Troponin or CK-MB). It is co-administered with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) alone or with ASA plus clopidogrel or ticlopidine.
